About

Founded by Diego Moore, this is a collective of life ventures.

A collective of talented people and professionals who share the same values, culture and mantras. A collective who have known each other and are progressing in shipping what is possible next.

What we believe in is important

  • Curiosity, learning and change
  • Trust and relationships
  • Think BIG, act small
  • Soft real skills over talent
  • Margin and boredom as creative fuel
  • Extreme Ownership
  • Leaders Eat Last

The importance of margin and boredom as creative fuel

A packed schedule, devoid of margin, has become a status symbol, overshadowing the natural rhythms of life. Incorporating margin and embracing boredom fosters creativity, inspiration, and the ability to seize opportunities.

How we do things around here

  • Leaders eat last
  • Managing upwards
  • Search-driven development
  • Building on the shoulders of giants

The rule of 3rds - mentors, peers and mentoring

The importance of having mentors, peers, and mentees at different stages of life. It encourages a balanced approach to relationships, valuing wisdom from mentors, support from peers, and the opportunity to mentor others.

Curiosity, learning and change as a muscle that needs to be exercised

And just as a muscle needs movement before atrophy so does our mind and brain. Sure, feel free to start going to the gym at your 40’s, 50’s’s or eve 60’s. It’s not impossible but it will be harder. Being curious is a mindset and provides de initial impetus to affect change. Learning news ways of thinking and doing which catapult change. The more you change your mind, the easier it becomes and flexibility becomes the norm.

Open Communication and Asynchronous Collaboration by default

Open communication is vital for collaboration, with praise given publicly and correction privately. Respecting people’s time and space means considering the purpose of communication and using asynchronous methods like documentation and prototypes as a priority before requesting expensive synchronous meetings.

Mental models & how we remember

  • Default to transparency
  • Own the outcome
  • Learn continuously
  • Trust compounds
  • Lead through service
  • Start small, think big

3 ways of learning: The easy way, the difficult way & the tragic way

The easy way is when we can learn from others. Without taking the hit, the cost nor the pain. It’s rare but it happens. The difficult way is when we make our own mistakes. The tragic way is when we don’t… but life has its own way of teaching us regardless and the most important lesson is to make sure we get back on our feet and bounce that 3rd, 7th or 11th time.

Collective

We're also a collective of like minded peers who have shared and or have worked together in the past.
